I have recently started a challenge called Inkcember. The original challenge is called Inktober, which was made popular in art communities around the world last year. Hence, I decided to give it a try. However, since I wasn't able to participate in this challenge because I had midterms at the time, I'm doing it now (: Not too late, eh?

I excitedly grabbed your hand
gently pulling you away from the crowd
eager to hear your stories;
your travels around the world.
As I asked you about each country you visited,
your eyes lit up and the corners of your mouth were upturned
ready to share every detail with an inquiring mind.
As your mother called you over,
“We’re leaving now!”
tears filled up my eyes and I asked,
“When will I see you again?”
As we stood up for an embrace
we exchanged sad smiles.
Before I walked away, I mouthed
“I’ll miss you.”

Update: Post-Finals
Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well. I know it's been a while since I last wrote an update journal. I'm almost finished writing my final exams for semester 1, thus I'll be submitting more photos during my winter break (: I'll be going to NY soon to visit good family friends, which I'm excited about. I hope to get some nice shots in NY!
